A typical engagement for Thamuz often begins with initiating on an isolated target or the enemy frontline to establish dominance. Here's a common sequence:
First, use Molten Scythes (Skill 1) towards your target. This will deal initial damage, apply a slow, and trigger your passive's movement speed bonus, allowing you to quickly close the gap. As you approach, your basic attacks will have a chance to proc Grand Lord Lava (Passive), dealing true damage.
Once you are in melee range, immediately activate Cauterant Inferno (Ultimate). This will deal an initial burst of physical damage, grant you significant bonus Max HP and healing, and increase your attack speed, enabling more frequent passive procs. The Cauterant Zone will also continuously burn nearby enemies.
Next, use Chasm Trample (Skill 2) to dash directly onto your target or into the midst of enemies. This deals physical damage, applies another slow, and crucially, retrieves your scythes, instantly resetting the cooldown of Molten Scythes (Skill 1).
Immediately cast Molten Scythes (Skill 1) again. This second throw will deal more damage and re-apply the slow, keeping enemies within your ultimate's burning zone and allowing you to continue your relentless basic attacks, proccing your passive and healing profusely.
