How to itemise Fanny and, more importantly, why each item earns its slot.

Overview

Why this build works on Fanny

Fanny relies on high-mobility dives using Steel Cable to repeatedly trigger Tornado Strike and consume Prey Mark stacks with Cut Throat. However, her aggressive playstyle leaves her vulnerable to heavy burst and stamina exhaustion mid-fight. This build focuses on turning Fanny into a sustained spell-vamp fighter who can repeatedly fly into danger without instantly dying. By combining physical damage scaling, spell vamp, and defensive passives from items like War Axe and Bloodlust Axe, Fanny converts her skill spam into continuous healing. Meanwhile, items like Brute Force Breastplate and Queen's Wings give her crowd control resilience and survivability to execute multiple cable passes safely.

Item by item

Flame Hunter's Warrior Boots

Early

These boots provide essential early physical defense while enhancing jungle clearing through the Flame Hunter retribution blessing. Taking physical damage triggers the Valor passive to stack extra physical defense, allowing Fanny to survive initial trades while slinging Steel Cable into early laning skirmishes. The added movement speed ensures she can rotate rapidly between jungle camps and lanes to apply Prey Mark onto enemy targets across the map.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Valor: Gain 4 extra Physical Defense for 3s when taking Physical Damage, up to 20.

War Axe

Core

War Axe is tailored for Fanny's continuous combat style. As she spams Steel Cable and automatically triggers Tornado Strike, the Fighting Spirit passive rapidly accumulates stacks to grant extra physical attack and spell vamp. Upon reaching full stacks, Fanny deals additional true damage. This transforms her swift flying rotations into lethal damage sweeps while regenerating her health pool based on physical damage dealt during airborne engagements.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Fighting Spirit: Dealing damage grants 12 extra Physical Attack and 2% extra Spell Vamp per second for 4s, up to 6 stacks. Deal 10% extra True Damage according to Base Damage at full stacks.####[C8This effect is reduced to 50% for Marksmen, Mages, and Supports.]

Bloodlust Axe

Core

Bloodlust Axe provides essential sustain that directly fuels Fanny's ability to survive prolonged skirmishes. Because her primary damage stems from skill casts like Tornado Strike and her finisher Cut Throat, spell vamp ensures every hit restores a substantial portion of health. With this item completed, Fanny can confidently cable through enemy formations, soaking up damage while continuously healing back hit points with every blade whirl.

Brute Force Breastplate grants hybrid offense and durability every second Fanny deals damage. The Brute Force passive increases her movement speed, physical attack, and magic power with each stack. Crucially, reaching full stacks awards control duration reduction, helping Fanny quickly recover from disabling crowd control that would otherwise interrupt her Steel Cable trajectory mid-flight and leave her stranded without energy restoration from Air Superiority.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Brute Force: Each second after dealing damage, gain 6 extra Physical Attack and Magic Power and 2% extra Movement Speed for 4s, up to 6 stacks. Gain 15% extra Control Duration Reduction at full stacks.

Queen's Wings acts as a clutch survival tool when Fanny performs high-risk dives. The Demonize passive activates when her health drops below a critical threshold, granting sudden damage reduction and a massive boost to spell vamp. This crucial defensive window enables Fanny to turn the tide of low-health duels, granting enough emergency healing through Tornado Strike and Cut Throat to execute enemies or cable away safely.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Demonize: When HP drops below 40%, gains 20% Damage Reduction and 35% extra Spell Vamp for 5s (60s cooldown).

In late-game teamfights, a single mistake during a Steel Cable dive can prove fatal. Immortality provides the Immortal passive, allowing Fanny to revive shortly after taking lethal damage while gaining health and a protective shield. This safety net encourages aggressive plays, allowing her to leap into backlines to execute key targets with Cut Throat knowing she has a second chance to cable back to safety.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Immortal: Revives 2.5s after death, gaining 16% Max HP and a 220-1200 shield (scales with level) that lasts 3s (210s cooldown).

Adapting the build

No build survives every draft. These are the situations where the order above should change.

Against heavy crowd control comps

Prioritize completing Brute Force Breastplate earlier in your build order. The control duration reduction granted at full stacks drastically cuts down stun and slow durations, preventing enemies from interrupting your Steel Cable momentum. This ensures you maintain mobility and can continuously restore energy through Air Superiority skill hits without getting grounded.

When facing heavy physical burst damage

Build Flame Hunter's Warrior Boots immediately and prioritize Queen's Wings right after your core offensive item. The physical defense stacks from Valor combined with the emergency damage reduction from Demonize ensure Fanny survives sudden physical burst, allowing her to heal back to full health using Tornado Strike and Cut Throat.
