Ice Hunter's Swift Boots
Early
Ice Hunter's Swift Boots grant vital attack speed that helps Hanzo quickly land basic attacks to unlock Ninjutsu: Demon Feast in the early game. The jungling passive allows him to rapidly farm jungle creeps and deal additional damage over time, enabling faster Demon Blood generation through Ame no Habakiri. Early mobility ensures Hanzo can roam across the map and secure the Turtle efficiently while keeping his main body positioned safely.
In-game passive Unique Passive - Hunter: After dealing damage to a Creep, deal 25<2|lv 3> + True Damage to the target over 3s (damage is increased by 100% for non-Marksmen heroes).
Hunter Strike provides physical attack and cooldown reduction, allowing Hanzo to cast Ninjutsu: Soul Reap more frequently to accumulate Demon Blood. Its Retribution passive activates when dealing damage to the same enemy multiple times, granting Hanekage a sudden burst of extra movement speed during Kinjutsu: Pinnacle Ninja. This allows the demon spirit to relentlessly pursue fleeing targets, offsetting the defense penalty during his ultimate state.
In-game passive Unique Passive - Retribution: Dealing damage to the same enemy hero or creep 5 times in a row grants 50% extra Movement Speed that decays over 3s (8s cooldown).
Blade of the Heptaseas complements Hanzo's playstyle by empowering Hanekage's initial strike from Kinjutsu: Pinnacle Ninja. The Ambush passive adds extra physical damage and a slowing effect to his next basic attack when entering combat unseen. This immediate slow pairs with Ninjutsu: Soul Reap's area slow, trapping squishy enemies and allowing Hanekage to land the basic attacks needed to activate Ninjutsu: Demon Feast or finish off targets quickly.
In-game passive Unique Passive - Ambush: If no damage is taken or dealt within 5s (excluding from Minions or Creeps), the next Basic Attack will deal an additional 160 Physical Damage and slow the target by 40% for 1.5s.
Endless Battle introduces sustain and skill-weaving synergy. After Hanekage casts skills in his ultimate form, Divine Justice converts his next basic attack into extra true damage, greatly boosting his burst potential against resilient enemies. The additional movement speed helps Hanekage maneuver across terrain, while the lifesteal keeps Hanzo healthy while farming creeps with Ninjutsu: Demon Feast and Ninjutsu: Soul Reap when returning to his physical body.
In-game passive Unique Passive - Divine Justice: After casting a skill, the next Basic Attack within 3s deals 60% Physical Attack as extra True Damage (1.5s cooldown).
Blade of Despair drastically boosts Hanzo's physical attack, turning Hanekage into a deadly executioner in the late game. The Despair passive triggers extra physical attack when damaging enemies below half health, multiplying the burst damage of his basic attacks during Kinjutsu: Pinnacle Ninja. This ensures Hanzo can eliminate low-health targets instantly, preventing enemies from counter-attacking or locating his original body before Hanekage retracts.
In-game passive Unique Passive - Despair: Dealing damage to non-Minion enemies below 50% HP increases Physical Attack by 25% for 2s (takes effect before the damage is dealt).
Immortality serves as crucial insurance against high-burst assassins and dive comps that attempt to hunt down Hanzo's real body while Kinjutsu: Pinnacle Ninja is active. If enemies find his physical form or if Hanekage is killed and leaves Hanzo stunned, the Immortal passive revives him with a temporary shield. This extra survival window grants him time to cast skills or escape safely.
In-game passive Unique Passive - Immortal: Revives 2.5s after death, gaining 16% Max HP and a 220-1200 shield (scales with level) that lasts 3s (210s cooldown).
